Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Travel Role
Location: Across NM State
Employment Type: Contract / Travel
Position Summary
We are looking for a versatile and dependable Travel LPN to deliver exceptional nursing support across various healthcare locations throughout New Mexico. Assignments may span long-term care skilled nursing rehab facilities outpatient practices acute care units and general clinic settings. Ideal candidates excel in fast-changing environments and maintain strong patient-centered care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and providers
- Record and track vital signs clinical changes and treatment responses
- Administer medications vaccinations and prescribed therapies safely
- Perform wound care procedures and assist with specimen collection
- Aid patients with daily needs such as mobility and hygiene
- Complete all EMR documentation accurately and promptly
- Communicate clearly with interdisciplinary team members and families
- Adhere to state regulations safety practices and facility protocols
- Travel to designated facilities across New Mexico as scheduled
Required Qualifications
- Active New Mexico LPN license (or eligibility before start)
- At least 1 year of recent LPN experience in LTC SNF acute rehab or similar settings
- Current BLS (AHA)
- Comfortable learning new EMR systems quickly
- Strong teamwork problem-solving and clinical assessment skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel or float experience
- Exposure to multiple care environments
- Strong independence and adaptability
- Spanish/English bilingual ability beneficial
