Metro is seeking a dynamic Transit Supply Chain Superintendent to lead a high-performing team responsible for the inventory procurement and distribution of parts and materials that keep our fleet of coaches trolleys and non-revenue vehicles running smoothly.
In this pivotal role youll oversee Transit Parts Specialists Technical Information Processing Specialists and Purchasing Specialists guiding them to deliver exceptional support to our Vehicle Maintenance Division. Youll advocate safety drive innovation and ensure that our supply chain operations meet the evolving needs of our transit systemall while fostering a collaborative inclusive and union-respectful work environment.

Recruitment information:This is an internal recruitment for King County Metro Transit. It will be used to fill one (1) Special Duty Assignment (SDA) Transit Superintendent- Supply Chain vacancy at Component Supply Center. This recruitment may be used to create an eligibility list of qualified Transit Superintendent- Supply Chain to fill future SDA vacancies in this classification. If an eligibility list is created it will remain active for up to 12 months from the posting date and may be used at the discretion of the hiring authority.

Work Schedule
The work schedule is normally day shift Monday through Friday however due to the 24 hour/7 day a week operation of public transit service this position may require occasional off-shift (swing and graveyard) meetings as well as weekend work.
Selection Process
Applications will be screened to determine whether candidates meet minimum qualifications and for clarity completeness and responsiveness to the application instructions above. The employment history detailed in your application MUST validate and support your responses to the supplemental questions and letter of interest. The Vehicle Maintenance Team will evaluate letters of interest and application materials to determine the competitiveness and relevancy of each qualified candidates work experience skills training and education.
