Nights 4x10-Hour (21:0007:30)
Nights 4x10-Hour (19:0005:30)
Rotating schedule as outlined below
Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated Mental Health Therapy Aides (MHTs) to support a Children and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit. This role requires a compassionate professional with pediatric experience preferred and psychiatric experience required. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the clinical team to support patient care maintain safety and promote therapeutic engagement.
Schedule Details
80 hours every two weeks
Mix of 412-hour shifts (19:0007:30) and 48-hour shifts (23:0007:30) in a two-week period
Every other weekend required
Some holiday coverage required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct support to children and adolescent patients within an inpatient psychiatric setting
Assist with therapeutic activities de-escalation techniques and behavioral interventions
Monitor patient behavior ensure safety and document observations accurately
Support daily living activities and help maintain a structured therapeutic environment
Collaborate with nurses therapists and interdisciplinary team members
Promote positive coping skills and provide emotional support to patients
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
Psychiatric experience required; pediatric psych experience preferred
Prior experience in an inpatient behavioral health setting preferred
Current CPR certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
