Warm Valley Health Care is looking for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or our on-site laboratory.
Position Overview
Warm Valley Health Care is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to perform moderate-complexity testing in support of patient diagnosis and treatment. The CLS will work across chemistry hematology urinalysis and waived testing while ensuring accuracy regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and verify laboratory testing in chemistry hematology urinalysis and waived testing categories.
Operate maintain and calibrate laboratory analyzers and equipment.
Conduct and document quality control; troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
Perform routine phlebotomy and ensure proper specimen collection identification processing and storage.
Maintain accurate documentation and participate in proficiency testing inspections and audits.
Follow all safety protocols infection control standards and regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with staff and providers and uphold confidentiality and professionalism.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
National certification (ASCP AMT or equivalent).
Qualified to perform moderate-complexity testing.
Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an outpatient laboratory setting.
Familiarity with automated analyzers and laboratory information systems (LIS).
Experience with Joint Commission standards and QC troubleshooting.
Physical & Working Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Manual dexterity and visual acuity to perform testing.
Work in a clinical laboratory environment with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
Availability for variable hours as needed.
