Job Summary

Position Title:Board Certified Psychiatrist (MD) - Independent Contractor

Description:Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking a qualified board certified MD to provide comprehensive medical and psychiatric care to patients with mental health and co-occurring disorders. This role involves performing psychiatric evaluations prescribing and managing medications collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-centered behavioral health care.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Wisconsin License Eligible
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry or Family Medicine with Behavioral Health experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted state medical license.
  • DEA certification for prescribing controlled substances.
  • Minimum of 23 years of experience in behavioral health psychiatry or integrated care (preferred).

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations diagnostic assessments and physical examinations for new and existing patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
  • Prescribe monitor and adjust medications as needed to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists psychologists therapists social workers and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide medical consultation with medical staff
  • Maintain accurate timely and compliant documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Ensure all services meet ethical professional and regulatory standards including HIPAA and state behavioral health requirements.
  • Stay up to date with developments in psychiatry psychopharmacology and behavioral health best practices.

Contract Details:

  • Type:Independent Contractor (1099 status)
  • Rate:Competitive Commission Pay
  • Schedule:Flexible; no on-call responsibilities
  • Work Setting:Outpatient behavioral health clinic and/or telehealth and opportunities for in office work in any of our BHC locations (If desired)
  • Start Date:Negotiable
