Compensation: $100000$150000 annually

Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Controllerfor an exciting job in Richmond VA.
Responsibilities
Lead mentor and develop accounting staff including direct supervision of the Assistant Controller.
Oversee daily accounting operations including workflow management productivity standards and performance outcomes.
Set and monitor departmental productivity and ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
Promote a culture of open transparent communication across finance and operational teams.
Support annual budgeting cost reporting audit preparation and other financial deliverables under the direction of senior finance leadership.
Coordinate internal and external audits ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to deadlines.
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts; resolve discrepancies promptly.
Manage month-end close processes for the hospital and affiliated entities ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Recruit train evaluate and develop team members to maintain high technical and service standards.
Maintain and enforce internal controls including compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements.
Ensure timely completion of monthly balance sheet reviews and required financial attestations.
Safeguard financial integrity accuracy of reporting and the reliability of audit trails.
Perform additional duties as assigned by senior financial leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
Masters degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration (preferred).
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (required).
Preferred: 5 years of accounting experience with 12 years of supervisory experience; healthcare background strongly preferred.
CPA certification strongly preferred.
Solid understanding of GAAP financial reporting internal controls and audit processes.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage deadlines and support complex financial cycles.
