Position Title:Board Certified Psychiatrist (MD) - Independent Contractor Description:Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking a qualified board certified MD to provide comprehensive medical and psychiatric care to patients with mental health and co-occurring disorders. This role involves performing psychiatric evaluations prescribing and managing medications collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-centered behavioral health care. Qualifications: - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Wisconsin License Eligible
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry or Family Medicine with Behavioral Health experience.
- Valid and unrestricted state medical license.
- DEA certification for prescribing controlled substances.
- Minimum of 23 years of experience in behavioral health psychiatry or integrated care (preferred).
Overall Responsibilities: - Conduct psychiatric evaluations diagnostic assessments and physical examinations for new and existing patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
- Prescribe monitor and adjust medications as needed to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists psychologists therapists social workers and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Provide medical consultation with medical staff
- Maintain accurate timely and compliant documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure all services meet ethical professional and regulatory standards including HIPAA and state behavioral health requirements.
- Stay up to date with developments in psychiatry psychopharmacology and behavioral health best practices.
