Job Summary

Position Title:Board Certified Psychiatrist (MD) - Independent Contractor

Description:Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking a qualified board certified MD to provide comprehensive medical and psychiatric care to patients with mental health and co-occurring disorders. This role involves performing psychiatric evaluations prescribing and managing medications collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-centered behavioral health care.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Wisconsin License Eligible
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry or Family Medicine with Behavioral Health experience.
Valid and unrestricted state medical license.
DEA certification for prescribing controlled substances.
Minimum of 23 years of experience in behavioral health psychiatry or integrated care (preferred).

Overall Responsibilities:

Conduct psychiatric evaluations diagnostic assessments and physical examinations for new and existing patients.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
Prescribe monitor and adjust medications as needed to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.
Collaborate closely with psychiatrists psychologists therapists social workers and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Provide medical consultation with medical staff
Maintain accurate timely and compliant documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
Ensure all services meet ethical professional and regulatory standards including HIPAA and state behavioral health requirements.
Stay up to date with developments in psychiatry psychopharmacology and behavioral health best practices.
