Schedule: Part-Time Days No Weekends or On-Call
Rate:$40 - $45/Hour

Job Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a compassionate and organized Registered Nurse to serve as a Patient Navigator in a specialized Colorectal Surgery and Gastroenterology practice. The Patient Navigator acts as a dedicated advocate and educator guiding patients and families through the surgical and cancer care continuum. This part-time role offers work-life balance while keeping you clinically engaged in a high-acuity specialty.

Schedule & Hours:

Part-Time: Approximately 20 hours/week
Monday & Wednesday: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
Tuesday or Thursday: 9:00 AM 1:00 PM (4-hour shift)
No Weekends Holidays or On-Call Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Advocacy & Education:
- Guide patients through the healthcare system addressing barriers to care (financial social or logistical).
- Support patients and families in coping with psychological aspects of surgery and cancer care.
- Provide clinical care and educational resources during visits and via phone.
Clinical Coordination & Triage:
- Answer and triage patient phone calls including urgent inquiries and medication questions.
- Coordinate appointments and ensure clinicians have necessary reports films and pathology results.
- Collect clinical information for accurate referrals and completion of physician orders.
Operations Support:
- Connect patients with resources and assist with access to financial services.
- Identify potential subjects for clinical trials when appropriate.

Qualifications:

Education & Licensure:
- Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree (ASN)
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current NJ RN License
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
- Specialty experience in Gastroenterology Colorectal Surgery or Surgical Oncology
- Strong understanding of surgical workflows and medical terminology
