- Build and Repair Structural Masonry:Construct and maintain walls foundations partitions and other brick stone block or tile structures using industry-standard techniques and tools.
- Interpret Plans and Apply Technical Specifications:Read and follow blueprints project plans and building codes to ensure all masonry work meets safety standards structural requirements and design expectations.
- Work Safely in a Variety of Conditions:Perform physically demanding work outdoors and at varying elevationsalways prioritizing jobsite safety and risk awareness to protect yourself and your team.
- Collaborate with Supervisors and Crew Members:Communicate clearly follow direction stay organized and contribute to a positive team environment while completing assignments on schedule.
- Operate with Professionalism and Customer Service:Represent the City with pride by maintaining high-quality workmanship responding respectfully to internal customers and upholding reliability and accountability in daily work.

The current vacancy is for a 0.9 full time equivalency (FTE). The salary listed on the job posting is for 1.0 FTE. 0.9 FTE at $49.91 per hour is approximately $93431.52 annually. There is a potential to work additional hours throughout the year.

Position Requirements
Must possess a certificate of completion for training as an apprentice bricklayer and four years of experience as a journey level bricklayer in commercial masonry construction. The four years of experience must be within the last six years.
Must obtain and maintain a valid Minnesota Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with no restriction for airbrakes within 3 months of hire. The CDL must have no suspensions or revocations for driving-related offenses during the two year period prior to the date of appointment. Suspensions for parking-related offenses are excluded.
