Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: New York NY
Contract: 8 Weeks
Hours per Week: 35 Hours
Shift: 7:00 AM 3:15 PM
Hourly Rate: $77/hr
Weekly Gross: $2695
Job Description:
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations supporting radiologists and maintaining ultrasound equipment. This role requires strong technical knowledge patient-care skills and adherence to safety and imaging standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Imaging
Prepare and position patients for ultrasound exams following established protocols.
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures efficiently and accurately.
Ensure patient comfort safety and understanding throughout the exam.
Capture and upload images to PACS for physician review.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
Operate adjust and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
Maintain and clean equipment; perform minor repairs as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety standards to protect patients and staff.
Monitor and restock ultrasound supplies.
Department Workflow & Support
Assist in onboarding and mentoring new ultrasound staff.
Answer calls schedule ultrasound appointments and assist with patient flow.
Coordinate or initiate patient transport when necessary.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Additional Duties
Provide technical support to radiologists during procedures.
Perform any related tasks as required to support imaging operations.
