Job Title: DMAVR Claims Manager (Support Coordinator)
Location: Washington DC
Position Type: Full-time Contract (Service Contract Act Position)
Work Hours: MondayFriday 8:00 a.m.6:00 p.m. ET
Summary:
The DMAVR Claims Manager manages claims under the Defined Monetary Assistance Victims Reserve (DMAVR) program. This role involves reviewing processing and coordinating victim claims working directly with claimants EOUSA USAOs and other stakeholders to ensure victims receive appropriate restitution.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and review DMAVR claims for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify supporting documentation and identify discrepancies.
- Research case and restitution history in VNS and DOJ databases.
- Consult with claimants through the portal to resolve claim issues.
- Coordinate with EOUSA DMAVR Program Manager USAOs and DOJ offices.
- Reassign denied claims as needed or close claims after consultation.
- Maintain logs of communications and produce reports.
- Provide professional customer service to claimants and representatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business administration criminal justice or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience preferably in victim services or customer service.
- Strong research data analysis and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online database tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive cases.
- Ability to work independently and manage shifting workloads.
