The Senior Testing & Operations Engineer will have oversight of test program recruitment operational performance and development of future Schenectady Technology Lab capabilities as it relates to the planning design development and execution of test programs for GE Vernova at the Schenectady Technology Lab. The STOE will adhere to internal processes to ensure test programs are developed that meet customer CTQs support Lab KPIs and fit within facility capabilities. The Schenectady Technology Lab is responsible for executing test programs supporting all GE Vernova businesses as well as Test as a Service Programs with the objective of acquiring high-quality design data that will facilitate the development of world-class products.

The Schenectady Technology Lab is responsible for executing test programs supporting all GE Vernova businesses as well as Test as a Service Programs with the objective of acquiring high-quality design data that will facilitate the development of world-class products.
Essential Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer interface responsible for recruiting new opportunities and overall meeting customer CTQs and deliverables.
- Responsible for leading a cross-functional team in the planning preparation & execution of test programs as assigned.
- Provide support to the Test & Equipment Operations team for facility expansions modifications and upgrades in support of test programs.
- Develop coordinate lead and execute long range development plans while managing monthly KPIs particularly related to technical training headcount and scheduling.
- Maintain operational compliance with ISO requirements and update the Test Record File.
- Support Lab Manager in the strategic planning of labor equipment and other resources.
- Ensure compliance with GE and regulatory EHS policies and maintain a safe work environment with a goal of zero injuries.
- Work with customers both internal and external to GE.
- Develop and implement process improvements.
- Deliver technical presentations at design reviews and other program reviews and prospective customer meetings.
- Mentor Edison and early career engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering/Science from an accredited college or university.
- Engineering design development or testing of turbines jet engines or turbo machinery minimum 10 years.
- Facility operations and component/systems test experience minimum 10 years.
- This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e. U.S. citizens permanent residents and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $131700.00 and $219300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
