NEW HIRES ARE CONDITIONAL UPON PASSING A FINGERPRINT SCREENING
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure safe storage handling and labeling of science chemicals and/or lab suppliesin alignment withdistrict and state safety protocols.
- Maintain inventory of chemicals equipment and/or consumables.
- Coordinate ordering of inventory to support instructional needs.
- Organize andmaintainscience lab equipment prep rooms and/or storage areas toensureaccessibility efficiency and safety.
- Review and fulfill teacher lab requests by preparing setting up and/or breaking down materials for daily science labs and activities.
- Collaborates regularly with district office staff and building administrators toensurecompliance with safety guidelines chemical management regulations and required documentation.
- Follow supervisory directions andemploypersonal initiative when necessary.
- Work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality.
- Participate in District meetings to communicate information and gain feedback and/or direction on a variety of issues.
- Maintain inventory of office supplies toensureavailability of required items.
- Assists with supervision of students toensurea safe and productive learning environment.
NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist otherpersonnelasmay berequired to support them withthe completion oftheir work activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of theposition.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- AA degree required.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Prior job-related experience preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a K-12 setting preferred but not required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability toestablishandmaintainprofessional cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to follow safe work practices andprocedures.
- Knowledge of general science chemicals instruments tools and disciplines.
- Knowledge of proper storage for science chemicals.
- Skilled in maintaining accurate and detailed records.
