Role Overview:
The Lead Data Engineer drives technical execution and provides leadership to Senior Engineers and QA Engineers. This role ensures engineering excellence performs design/code reviews and supports the Principal Engineer in delivering scalable secure and reliable data pipelines for enterprise-level data platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead development of Spark-based data pipelines and transformation workflows
Mentor Senior Engineers and enforce engineering standards and patterns
Conduct design and code reviews for performance quality and maintainability
Collaborate with TPM and Product Owners to plan sprints and manage delivery milestones
Troubleshoot complex data engineering issues and drive RCA
Translate architectural direction into actionable engineering tasks
Required Skills:
912 years of Data Engineering experience
Strong Spark (Scala/Python/Java) and Hadoop/Object Storage expertise
Advanced SQL across Oracle Netezza Hive or similar platforms
Proven ability to mentor and lead engineering teams in Agile environments
Strong analytical and communication skills
