Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in this role you will be instrumental in the design development and maintenance of cutting-edge financial technology solutions contributing to the evolution of our product suite and supporting our global client base.
Job Responsibilities
* Collaborate with product managers business analysts and other developer to understand requirements design solutions and deliver high-quality software.
* Develop test deploy and maintain robust and scalable applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
* Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis design coding testing and deployment.
* Write clean efficient and well-documented code that adheres to established coding standards and best practices.
* Perform code reviews to ensure code quality maintainability and adherence to design specifications.
* Troubleshoot debug and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
* Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers when required.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience (5 years) as a Software Engineer or a similar role preferably within the FinTech industry.
* Strong proficiency in Mainframe Cobol.
* Experience with relational databases (e.g. DB2) and writing complex SQL queries.
* Familiarity with other programing language (e.g. XML Json C# JAVA) is a plus.
* Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g. Agile Scrum).
* Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
* Excellent problem-solving analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
* Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
