LOCATION: Broadcasting House London. Hybrid working. The successful candidate must be able to work on-site at our London office and/or at London-based events at least 3 days per week.
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: 28100 - 37500 depending on relevant skills knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are looking for a Marketing Executive to join the team working across the BBC Proms and BBC Singers. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and Head of Marketing this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in devising and implementing multi-media marketing campaigns with a focus on achieving ambitious revenue targets and growing our audience. You will create and share dynamic content on our digital and social platforms and drive engagement and impact of our international brand.

The BBC Proms is the biggest classical music festival in the world. We run over 90 live events over 2 months in the summer at the Royal Albert Hall in London and venues across the UK. Nearly everything we do is broadcast across BBC Radio TV and online. We are a creative innovative festival that connects with audiences around the UK and across the globe. You will build skills in marketing and live events and everyone on the team has a chance to work at events.

The BBC Singers are the BBCs professional chamber choir who bring an exceptional range of choral music to the widest audience. They perform in the UKs finest live music venues from the Barbican and St Martin-in-the-Fields to the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall on the BBCs radio stations on BBC TV BBC Sounds and BBC iPlayer.

Youll be joining a dedicated and passionate team of people who love music and are committed to sharing our content with wide and diverse audiences.


YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

  • To work to the Marketing Manager devising and implementing multi-media marketing campaigns to build audiences and generate ticket income.
  • To grow the profile of the BBC Proms to the widest possible audience
  • To develop campaigns for our key target markets and work to strict budgets
  • To create and maintain a dynamic digital presence through platforms including websites and social media creating content and posting on our channels
  • To work with the BBCs media agency on developing season-wide campaigns creating and providing content as required
  • To create campaigns for the BBC Singers which demonstrate their unique place at the heart of the UK choral scene


YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Ability to bring a creative imaginative and innovative approach to reaching a wide range of audiences. To have ideas and turn them into good creative briefs.
  • Proven experience of devising and implementing multi-media marketing campaigns incorporating social media and dynamic digital content to build audiences and sell tickets to our events
  • Generate creative ways to grow and diversify our audiences
  • Ability to edit video and images for website and social media channels including optimising assets for social media
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a marketing environment preferably within the arts
  • A passion for live music and events
