As an Arborist Climber you will be an integral member of a tree care crew with the primary responsibility of tree climbing and assisting Arborist Crew Leaders in performing all tree and shrub care services on residential and commercial properties.

Pay Rate: $36.60/hr Permanent Full Time

As an Arborist Climber you will play an important role in:

• Perform all required ground climbing and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments as directed by crew leader
• Demonstrate high safety standards sound tree risk assessment skills equipment inspection skills proper application of approved knots proper climbing techniques and procedures proper pruning and small removal skills and proper rigging skills
• Assist with driving backing dumping and parking duties as required
• Learn understand and adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies and participate in safety training sessions
• Maintain assigned company gear and equipment
• Demonstrate strong communication skills with crew members and crew leader
• Responsible for carrying out other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader or designated supervisor Arborist Representative or Local Manager

• Minimum 1 year of experience climbing with arborist approved climbing system and bucket operation in the tree care industry.
• Valid drivers license and clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Secondary school required
• Formal training or qualifications in chainsaw maintenance and cutting aerial cutting using chainsaw and felling and processing trees required
• Degree or Diploma in Arboriculture Forestry Horticulture Plant Science Landscape Management Environmental Science or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in English language
