Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated System Engineer I to join our team as a Backup Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for implementing managing and maintaining backup solutions using Cohesity EMC NetWorker Isilon & OCI technologies. This role ensures effective data protection and seamless recovery processes to support the organizations business continuity objectives.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy configure and maintain backup and recovery solutions using Cohesity EMC NetWorker and Isilon systems.
- Basic understanding of cloud - OCI preferred
- Perform routine backup operations monitor backup jobs and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Manage data restores as requested ensuring data integrity and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve backup failures and related incidents.
- Develop and maintain backup job documentation schedules and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project implementation and incident resolution.
- Follow established best practices and compliance requirements for data protection.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support for critical backup and recovery issues
- Participate in audits and support disaster recovery exercises.
