RoleOverview:

The Senior Staff Engineer (Kubernetes) is responsible for designing building and optimizing our most critical large-scale and highly available systems using Go (Golang) and Kubernetes. This role drives architectural strategy mentors senior engineering staff and sets the technical direction for cloud-native adoption and maturity across the organization.

BasicQualifications:

• Atleast13yearsofprogressiveexperienceinsoftwareengineeringwithasignificantfocusoncloud-nativeapplicationdevelopmentandinfrastructure.
• GolangExpertise:(goroutineschannels)andbestpracticesforwritingcleantestableandrobustGocode.
• CloudPlatforms:Extensiveexperiencewithatleastonemajorpubliccloudprovider(AWSGCPorAzure).
• Architecture&Design:Provenabilitytodefineandimplementcomplexmicroservicesarchitecturesconsideringfactorslikefaulttolerancesecurityscalabilityandcostefficiency.
• DevOps&Automation:MasteryofInfrastructure-as-Code(IaC)tools()anddeepexperienceindesigningandoptimizingCI/CDpipelines()forKubernetesdeployments.
• Networking&Observability:StrongunderstandingofKubernetesnetworkingservicemeshtechnologies()andimplementingrobustmonitoringloggingandalertingusingtoolslikePrometheusGrafanaandELK/Lokistack.
• Leadership:Demonstratedexperiencementoringseniorengineersleadingtechnicalinitiativesandcommunicatingcomplextechnicalconceptstoavarietyofaudiencesincludingexecutiveleadership.

• Expert-levelknowledgeofKubernetesinternalsarchitectureandadvancedfeatures.
• Experiencemanagingandtroubleshootinglarge-scaleproductionKubernetesclusters(-managed).
• ExpertiseinKubernetesOperatorsCustomResourceDefinitions(CRDs)andextendingtheKubernetesAPI.
• Holdsanyofthefollowingcertifications:CertifiedKubernetesAdministrator(CKA)CertifiedKubernetesApplicationDeveloper(CKAD)orCertifiedKubernetesSecuritySpecialist(CKS).
• DataTechnologies:Experiencewithcloud-nativedatastoresandstreamingtechnologies()anddeployingtheminaKubernetesenvironment.
• SecurityFocus:ExperienceimplementingadvancedsecuritypracticeswithinaKubernetesenvironmentincludingnetworkpoliciesRBAChardeningandsecretsmanagement().
• GitOps:Hands-onexperienceimplementingandmanagingGitOpsworkflowsusingtoolslikeArgoCDorFlux.
