What Youll Be Doing
- Familiar with IEC 61800-3 Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Requirements for Adjustable Speed Power Drive Systems and supporting test standards
- Design for EMC to support scheduled product release
- Work closely with all project team members to ensure EMC compliant product design
- Evaluate product design concepts for EMC compliance and risk
- Detailed reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for EMC compliance
- Conduct pre-compliance testing in lab to minimize risk prior to design release
- Coordinate and conduct EMC validation testing at 3rd party test facilities
- Provide relevant input to project leaders for project resource schedule budget and test planning.
What Were Looking For
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering with 12 months experience with R&D projects in a role of electrical engineer responsible for EMC verification and product compliance; with conducted and radiated emissions immunity burst surge and ESD test and verification methods; and with EMC test & measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers LISN capacitive clamps burst and surge generators and antennas
- In lieu of masters plus experience Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with 3 years experience with R&D projects in a role of electrical engineer responsible for EMC verification and product compliance; with conducted and radiated emissions immunity burst surge and ESD test and verification methods; and with EMC test & measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers LISN capacitive clamps burst and surge generators and antennas
