Job Summary
Responsibilities
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for product design and design innovation (style design industrial design and UX design) for Industrial Products (Gas Detectors Transmitters Instrumentations and Meters Controllers)
- Proactively explore and visualize design concepts create mockups or prototypes or proof of concepts to demonstrate product potential
- Responsible for the manufacture/sourcing of rapid prototype models to convey the product intent to customers colleagues and Senior Management.
- Proactively present ideas concept visualizations prototypes and effectively communicate with Offering Manager customers and end users to drive product definition
- Research design trends technical trends and product limitations regulatory requirements for effective design
- Understand and deploy Honeywell User Experience Process and Honeywell Design Language System into product design
- Closely work with engineering offering manager production and sourcing team to for design feasibility assessment and design transition
- Perform Voice of Customer studies and user studies and user experience studies and evaluations.
- Work with global team and other functions for design review and improvement
Qualifications
Qualification and competency:
- Education B.S. or M.S. Industrial/ Product design or a closely related discipline
- A good design portfolio demonstrated the skills and experience
- Good style and Industrial design with great aesthetic sense
- Practical Design with high feasibility manufacturability regulatory cost and other constraints
- Strong Prototyping and mockup skills is a strong plus e.g. clay foam sewing and DIY skills
- Demonstrate strong Team working spirit and effective communication demonstrated capability in working with marketing people
- Passion in innovation and exploring new ideas challenge the status quo
