Controls Engineer

Talent Hive is in search of a Senior Controls Engineer proficient in deploying automation solutions using PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution:

- Identify prioritize and schedule tasks with personal responsibility to meet commitments.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues and conflicts.
- Collaborate under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies for project execution efficiency.
- Maintain direct communication and interaction with clients.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and codes.

Technical Documentation and Design:

- Develop project definitions requirements and status reports.
- Create process control sequences standard procedures and scope of supply documentation.
- Support hardware engineering and systems design activities.
- Assist with factory/site acceptance testing user training and acceptance testing.
- Program control logic construct graphics configure databases etc.
- Interpret and update documents drawings and specifications related to automation projects.

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in engineering or a related discipline (preferably Electrical Chemical Controls or Computer Engineering).
- 3 years of relevant experience in process control manufacturing or information services.
- Experience with PLC DCS and/or SCADA/HMI design development and deployment.
- Strong leadership client relations and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Excel and Word; SharePoint experience is beneficial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Strongly Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge in diverse processes such as Oil & Gas Chemicals etc.
- Experience with Honeywell DCS programming (Experion PKS/LX/HS a plus) and Allen Bradley ControlLogix programming (PlantPAx a plus).
- Familiarity with SCADA/HMI systems (ICONICS or Wonderware a plus).
- Experience in checkout testing startup and commissioning.

Physical Requirements:

* Normal vision for AutoCAD and design tasks.
* Good hearing and manual dexterity for computer work.
* Ability to sit move around and meet deadlines effectively.
