Job Description:
The Aircraft Maintenance position plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational safety and efficiency of aircraft. This position involves extensive hands-on work in inspecting maintaining and repairing aircraft to ensure compliance with safety regulations and performance standards.
Essential Functions:
- Performs maintenance disassembly rework repair replacement re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft components in accordance with technical specifications engineering instructions and FAA regulations.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify any wear tear or damage and carry out necessary repairs.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
- Adhere to maintenance manuals technical specifications and regulatory requirements during all maintenance activities.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately in maintenance logs and records.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and provide feedback on aircraft performance and any issues encountered.
- Ensure that all tools materials and equipment are calibrated correctly and maintained in good working condition.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance maintenance processes and practices.
- Performs flightline operations aircraft inspections or repairs sometimes in confined spaces and inclement weather.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals schematics and engineering documentation.
- Ability to obtain certification to operate self-propelled vehicles such as forklifts scissor lifts boom lifts aircraft support equipment and towing vehicles.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and on-call shifts.
- Ability to climb including ladders stairs and portable stands and navigate these with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Proficiency with aircraft maintenance software and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance required.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum 4 years experience in aircraft maintenance on P3 P8 737 C5 Air Tractor and Bombardier Global 6500 preferably with a focus on complex mechanical and avionics systems.
- Ability to pass a flightline physical.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred.
- Experience with a variety aircraft models that the company operates such as C-130 P-8A G550 etc.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with a focus on avionics and electrical systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with engineers customers and other maintenance staff.
