Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and welding symbols to fabricate metal components for construction industrial or commercial projects.
- Fabricate and assemble steel stainless steel and other metal components including beams columns and trusses.
- Cut shape and weld metal parts using a variety of tools such as saws shears grinders and cutting torches.
- Operate heavy machinery including forklifts cranes and overhead hoists to move and position materials.
- Ensure that all fabrication meets project specifications industry standards and safety regulations.
- Inspect work for accuracy quality and compliance with safety standards.
- Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects
Requirements
Requirements:
- Having offshore experience is an added advantage.
- Proven experience as a Structural Fabricator preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques including MIG TIG Stick and Flux Core welding.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings blueprints and welding symbols.
- Experience with fabrication tools and equipment (e.g. grinders saws shears cutting torches drills).
- Ability to measure cut and shape metal components accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality and safety.
