Job Summary
Legal Manager
In the role of Legal Manager you willensure the entitys compliance with local laws manage legal risks and oversee contracts and disputes. You will provide legal advice to support business decisions while protecting the companys interests.
Position:
As the Legal Manager in the Legal department you will:
- Act as legal lead for contract drafting review negotiation and advise including sales manufacturing licensing marketing storage distribution contracts employment etc
- Engage with Marketing & Sales functions on marketing initiatives and advise review and draft marketing and consumer activationsrelated contracts
- Analyze legal risks as pertinent to complex projects associated with competition law IP process improvement local expansion or product development
- Prepare timely updates on industry laws & regulations to ensure streamlining of commercial decisionmaking process
- Ensure efficient management of external counsels
- Prepare legal assessment reports on local expansion & regional business development projects
- Advising on other areas of law as necessary including competition law IT property marketing production consumer protection and health and safety
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Law (LL.B. Degree and admitted to the Bar (LL.M. Degree is a plus)
- 7 years experience in General Corporate M&A Commercial Law inhouse with an FMCG company or private practice roles
- Fluent English and Arabic
- Strong legal background
- Excellent analytical planning and problemsolving skills
- Strong organization and project management skills communication and time management
- Advanced MS Office experience is a plus (i.e. Excel and PowerPoint)
