Ob/Gyn Hospitalists - South Bend IN - Great Location between Detroit and Chicago!
A successful OB hospitalist program should be a collaboration among your hospitals staff and affiliated obstetricians family practice physicians and sub-specialists. Our experienced board-eligible or board-certified OB Hospitalists at Memorial South Bend Hospital provide OB triage admissions inpatient care and delivery for hospitalized patients. This cost-effective cohesive approach improves clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- 24-hour shifts providing OB Hospitalist care working side by side with an outstanding group of neonatologists and maternal fetal medicine physicians; the option for 12-hour shifts are available
Engage with Obsterix MFM physicians to provide quality care for antepartum & intrapartum high-risk patients.
Collaborate with a robust Certified Nurse Midwife practice of 7 providers.
Coordinate care with the Pediatrix Neonatology physicians for the best neonatal outcomes in the region.
Level III NICU & Level III Perinatal Center
Level II trauma center MedFlight and specialized Maternal OB transport team.
10 birthing suites and an average of 3 deliveries per 24-hour shift and annual deliveries of approximately 2000
- Participate in teaching activities and other clinical activities associated with the OB Hospitalist program
- Located between Chicago and Detroit - Near the University of Notre Dame and 30-45 minutes from Lake Michigan
Rate structure: DO NOT ADVERTIZE BILL/PAY RATES WHEN POSTING JOBS OR REACHING OUT TO PROVIDERS
- Orientation Hours 50% of standard rate.
- (OT over 40 hours/week) Extra-Time standard rate.
- Holidays 1.25x
- Conversion rates $25K (MD/DO); max conversion fee to be billed but will be discounted based on hours worked (see Rules of Engagement for breakdown)
Presentation will be prioritized by Rate Tiers:
- Tier 1 (best) below or at $250/hour
- Tier 2 - $251-260/hour
- Tier 3 - $261-270/hour
- $271 will not be accepted

- Board Certified in OB/GYN - REQUIRED
- IN license or active IMLC compact eligible PREFERRED
- Minimum of 1-year post-residency experience required REQUIRED
- Recent clinical OBGYN experience required (within the last 12 months) REQUIRED
- Must have completed Prescreen Questionnaire (see attachment for form) REQUIRED
- CV must be in MM/YYYY format with all gaps explained REQUIRED
- Rates must follow rate structure REQUIRED
