Job Summary
Job Title: Network Engineer Consultant
Location: Cayce SC (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
Position Overview
Navitas Partners LLC is seeking Network Engineer Consultantfor an exciting job in Cayce SC.
Responsibilities
Participate in cross-functional teams supporting server hosting initiatives including segmentation modernization and remediation activities.
Assist with planning design installation configuration and conversion of physical and virtual server environments.
Coordinate daily tasks and project milestones with IT Section Managers and Team Leads.
Provide guidance on hardware configurations system implementation and technical standards.
Collaborate with vendors and internal technical teams on troubleshooting issue resolution and conversion tasks.
Implement and maintain access controls security baselines and audit logging aligned with CIS NIST and organizational security policies.
Work with Cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities respond to incidents and strengthen security posture.
Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex identity access or authentication issues.
Partner with network server and support teams to ensure infrastructure needs are met.
Participate in infrastructure upgrades migrations cloud integrations and modernization projects.
Prepare technical documentation implementation plans and system enhancement roadmaps.
Ensure timely and accurate work completion escalate issues appropriately and provide status reporting.
Maintain adherence to agency IT standards policies and documentation requirements.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
Required Skills:
5 years of experience with Windows Server environments
5 years with Group Policy (GPO) and PowerShell
5 years with Microsoft Active Directory
5 years with enterprise Backup and Disaster Recovery
5 years with computer and network hardware software and operating systems
2 years with security and data classification frameworks (CDC HIPAA CJIS etc.)
3 years in IT system analysis design testing and maintenance
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Hyper-V
Experience with Linux Server or AIX
Experience with tools such as DataDobi SolarWinds Lansweeper
Experience with Citrix Presentation Server or XenApp
