The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. Quality Control Specialist I Pay Range: $57200.00 - $70060.00

Southwest Power Pool is seeking a Quality Control Specialist I to support the development evaluation and implementation of processes that strengthen our security and compliance framework. If you enjoy working with data writing clear documentation and collaborating across technical teams this role is a great fit.

What Youll Do

  • Document and improve IT security processes
  • Analyze evidence and datasets for security and compliance
  • Support audits under NERC CIP and SOC1 standards
  • Create reports and dashboards that highlight risks and trends
  • Partner with Cyber Security IT and Compliance teams to drive improvements

    To be successful as an Quality Control Specialist I were looking for:

    Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor degree in computer science business administration or related IT field or equivalent technical work experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement

    Experience Requirements:

    • Introductory knowledge/experience in IT IT control methodologies and/or IT technical writing
    • Experience with Microsoft Office; additional experience with ServiceNow Jira Confluence SQL or Python is a plus
    • Competent in both written and oral communication

    • Logical and efficient with attention to detail

    • Demonstrated ability to provide flexible prioritization and organizational skills

    • Competent understanding of industry compliance requirements and the IT controls that support these requirements

    • Competent understanding of compliance with and enforcement of SPP Policies and Procedures

    Preferred:

    • Experience with IT domains such as networking firewalls asset management access management etc.
    • Experience with security controls (e.g. NIST Cybersecurity Framework)
    • Experience with IT technical writing
    • Experience with test planning and test execution coordination
    • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g. SQL Excel Tableau Python)
    • Experience with Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools/platforms

    Work Environment:

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

      Position Type Location and Expected Hours of Work:

      This is a full-time hybrid onsite role located in Little Rock Arkansas. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional extended hours as business needs arise.

      Travel Requirement:

      This position requires minimal travel (approximately 10%).
