**Position Overview:**
This role encompasses delegation of responsibilities to the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and Aides. The focus is on patient-centered care engaging in processes of assessment planning intervention and evaluation that adhere to established physical therapy standards physician directives and relevant policies and regulatory frameworks.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

**Patient Evaluation:** Conducts comprehensive evaluations of the patients functional status via both formal and informal testing methods assessing skeletal neurological respiratory and cardiovascular systems.
- **Treatment Planning:** Develops goal-oriented treatment regimens tailored to assessment findings and the patients capacity to engage with prescribed interventions. Formulates a written treatment plan to be incorporated into the overall care strategy sanctioned and coordinated with the supervising physician. Regularly updates the care plan to accommodate any changes in patient condition and co-signs verbal orders when necessary.
- **Treatment Scheduling:** Establishes a detailed treatment schedule specifying frequency and duration ensuring discussions involve the patient family and caregivers while collaborating with clinical support personnel.
- **Patient Education:** Provides in-depth education to the patient family and caregivers concerning the patients pathology available treatment alternatives prognosis and the rationale behind selected intervention strategies including rest exercise modalities and other therapeutic tools.

**Supervision:** Oversees the work of PTAs Physical Therapy Aides Home Health Aides and students according to affiliate and regulatory standards.

**Equipment Recommendations:** Assesses and recommends adaptive or supportive equipment based on patient evaluations coordinates with suppliers to procure necessary items and assists in securing the equipment.
- **Documentation:** Maintains meticulous documentation of patient responses to therapies and any fluctuations in their condition adhering to affiliate policies and regulatory requirements and completing all necessary daily documentation for billing purposes.

**Therapeutic Interventions:** Implements treatment strategies and demonstrates expertise to enhance or restore optimal patient functioning within the designated care area.

**Education Programs:** Develops and provides home education programs for patients and families utilizing effective teaching methodologies.

**Required Qualifications:**
