Role Type: Experienced Rope Access Technician (Advanced Rigging & Rescue Skills)
Role Overview
The IRATA Level 2 Technician is responsible for performing intermediate to advanced rope access tasks including complex rigging rescue operations and work-at-height activities. The role requires strong technical competency in rope techniques safe work practices and the ability to supervise Level 1 technicians during operations. The position supports maintenance inspection construction and cleaning activities across high-rise buildings industrial plants and confined spaces while ensuring full compliance with IRATA International Code of Practice (ICOP).
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced rope access tasks and rigging operations in accordance with IRATA Level 2 competency standards.
Assist in planning rope access systems anchor setups and load management for operational safety.
Execute rescue procedures for suspended or incapacitated personnel as required.
Supervise Level 1 technicians and ensure safe execution of assigned work-at-height activities.
Conduct inspections cleaning maintenance and repair works on buildings towers and industrial structures.
Carry out inspection and maintenance of rope access equipment and ensure proper documentation.
Support operations in high-risk environments such as oil & gas facilities petrochemical plants offshore platforms and confined spaces.
Follow all operational safety procedures toolbox talks JSA PTW and client-specific HSE standards.
Report hazards unsafe acts and near-miss incidents and assist in risk mitigation.
Maintain accurate logbook entries for all rope access activities performed.
Work Environments

Petrochemical plants & refinery structures
Stadium and tower inspections
Construction & steel structure work
Telecom towers & wind turbines
Confined space entry using rope access
Rescue & emergency access situations
Essential Qualifications
Valid IRATA Level 2 Certification (current and in-date).
Minimum 1 year of documented experience after achieving Level 1 certification.
Proven logbook entries showing variety of rigging and climbing operations.
Strong understanding of ICOP IRATA safety systems and rescue procedures.
Skills Required
Advanced rigging and rope system setup.
Proficiency in work-at-height techniques and load management.
Ability to perform mid-level and advanced rescue operations.
Strong physical fitness and ability to work in challenging environments.
Competence in inspecting structural elements equipment and access systems.
Knowledge of international safety standards and compliance procedures.
Effective communication and ability to guide Level 1 technicians.
Ability to identify hazards and respond quickly to emergencies.
