Job Title: IRATA Level 3 Technician (Rope Access Supervisor)

Role Overview
The IRATA Level 3 Technician serves as the on-site rope access supervisor responsible for overall safety system planning advanced rigging rescue management and leadership of Level 1 and Level 2 technicians. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with IRATA International Code of Practice (ICOP) and executing complex work-at-height tasks across high-risk environments such as high-rise buildings oil & gas platforms petrochemical facilities towers stadiums and confined spaces.
The Level 3 Technician is the highest IRATA qualification requiring expert technical ability safety leadership and decision-making under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead rope access operations and supervise Level 1 and Level 2 technicians to ensure safe and compliant execution.
Design plan and approve rope access systems rigging methods anchor points and rescue plans as per IRATA ICOP.
Perform advanced rigging tasks load management anchor installation and structural assessments.
Conduct and lead rescue procedures for suspended injured or compromised workers in any rope access situation.
Ensure full compliance with international safety standards including PTW LOTO risk assessments toolbox talks and method statements.
Inspect maintain and record all rope access equipment and ensure proper traceability and certification.
Coordinate with site management HSE teams and client representatives to align work scope and safety requirements.
Conduct hazard identification risk mitigation incident reporting and on-site safety coaching.
Lead work-at-height tasks such as inspection cleaning maintenance construction support and access solutions.
Document daily logs rescue plans equipment registers and supervision records as mandated by IRATA.
Ensure continuous monitoring of technicians performance and adherence to safe work practices.
Act as the final authority for rope access safety decisions on-site.
Essential Qualifications
Valid IRATA Level 3 Technician Certification (in-date with full logbook).
Minimum 24 years of experience as an IRATA Level 2 before upgrading to Level 3.
Strong knowledge of IRATA ICOP rope access legislation and international safety frameworks.
Proven experience supervising rope access teams in high-rise offshore industrial or petrochemical projects.
Excellent understanding of rigging principles rescue techniques anchor installation and work positioning.
