Job Summary
Responsibilities
Carry out dismantling inspection servicing and reassembly of a wide range of valves including:
Butterfly Valves (Block 20)
Globe Valves (Block 20 / ST21 / ST22)
Gate Valves (Block 20 / ST21 / ST22)
Inspect internal components such as seats discs stems seals packing and body condition.
Perform valve lapping grinding seal replacement packing adjustment and reconditioning.
Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests as per project or OEM requirements.
Verify valve stroke movement and operational smoothness after assembly.
Ensure proper installation and alignment when fitting valves back into the system.
Read and understand P&IDs isometric drawings datasheets and OEM manuals.
Assist in troubleshooting valve leaks seat damage corrosion stuck movement and mechanical faults.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Trade.
Minimum 35 years experience in valve maintenance and repair.
Hands-on experience with:
Butterfly Valves
Globe Valves (ST21 ST22)
Gate Valves (Block 20 ST Series)
Experience in oil & gas refinery petrochemical or heavy industry preferred.
