DescriptionJob Duties
- Oversee a combination of accounting staff
- Reviews account reconciliations and journal entries ensuring compliance with existing controls policies and procedures and GAAP
- Coordinate and review the daily weekly monthly and annual processes for accuracy
- Oversee and review of work and monthly account reconciliations performed by team members
- Get guide and root for assigned team and accurately assess performance provide support training mentoring and development to staff on an ongoing basis to ensure the department performs at a maximum performance level
- Assist Director in developing and leading regular training sessions to enhance department performance
- Assist Director in creating and implementing strategic vision
- Provides Director with metrics of assigned team noting key achievements and areas needing improvement. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Proactively provides feedback to leadership on people process technology and compliance
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent industry accounting experience required
- Understanding of regulatory requirements is required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Organized and detail oriented with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet assigned deadlines as required
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be a team player in a professional environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
