Workers Compensation Claims Representative - California
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workers Compensation Claims Representative to join a team. This is a fully remote position allowing you to work from anywhere within the continental United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling workers compensation claims and possess the necessary certifications and qualifications to excel in this role.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $85000 - $105000 per year (based on qualifications and experience)

Responsibilities
As a Workers Compensation Claims Representative your primary responsibilities will include:
- Determining compensability and/or coverage issues for lost time workers compensation claims.
- Managing a caseload of lost time claims across multiple jurisdictions.
- Negotiating and directing settlements under managements review.
- Gathering medical and factual evidence to assess compensability.
- Directing external investigations and managing litigation files within assigned authority.
- Maintaining regular communication with claimants attorneys investigators rehabilitation personnel insureds account liaisons and medical providers.
Qualifications/Requirements
To be considered for this role candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience handling workers compensation claims including lost time or litigated claims.
- Jurisdictional experience in California is required.
- SIP (Self-Insurance Plans) certification is mandatory.
- A Bachelors degree is required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Strong organizational problem-solving negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Carrier experience is preferred but not required.
