Primary Responsibilities.
- Perform mechanical and structural assembly of aerospace components per work instructions blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Use hand tools power tools precision measuring instruments and test equipment to assemble fit and install parts and components.
- Conduct inspections of in-process and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Prepare and apply surface coatings (e.g. primers sealants bonding agents) according to engineering documentation and process specifications (preferred).
- Fast-paced collaborative manufacturing setting.
- May require standing for long periods lifting up to 50 lbs and wearing PPE.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet production schedules.
Basic Qualifications.
- High school diploma/GED
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings engineering documents and assembly instructions.
- Proficient in using measurement tools (calipers micrometers height gauges).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP/shop floor systems.
- Must be able to work overtime including weekends and second or third shift as required.
- Must be a US Citizen and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications.
- Associate degree or vocational training in manufacturing aerospace or mechanical technology preferred.
- Experience in aerospace coatings including surface prep masking application of primers/sealants or anti-corrosion treatments.
- Familiarity with AS9100 ISO 9001 quality systems or NADCAP requirements.
- Certifications in aerospace manufacturing or coatings (e.g. NACE SSPC AWS) a plus.
- Prior work in a cleanroom or high-reliability manufacturing environment.
- Current and active DoD Secret clearance.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $41600.00 - $75200.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
