Emplify Health by Gundersen has an opening in the Operating Room

As a Level 2 Trauma Center the Surgery Department is a fast-paced unit with 18 state-of-the-art operating rooms and 2 labor and delivery suites with cutting-edge surgical equipment. We provide a wide range of surgical procedures including robotic-assisted and minimally invasive surgeries to populations ranging from neonates to adults. The multidisciplinary team includes RNs surgeons anesthesia staff and surgical technologists. As a nurse you will play a direct role in providing LOVE MEDICINE for a broad range of patients in the Operating Room. Registered Nurses in the OR circulate and may scrub for surgeries while caring for patients one-on-one being their advocate and anticipating their needs during the surgery.

What you will do:

  • Fulltime 72 hours every two weeks (0.9 FTE)

  • This position has the flexibility to be 9 or 12-hour shifts however during orientation you will be scheduled for 9-hour shifts

  • 9-hour shift: primarily day shifts (6:15am-3:45pm) with some PM and nights shifts could be up to 6 off shifts within a 6-week scheduling period. Occasional weekend shifts as needed per unit need (cover PTO FML or vacations)

  • 12-hour shift: primarily day shifts (6:15am-6:45pm) with occasional night or weekend shifts as needed per unit need (cover PTO FML or vacations)

  • Night and Weekend call rotation. Call response time is 60 minutes or less

  • Holiday Rotation: 1-2 holidays per year

What Youll Need:

  • Minimum of an associate degree in nursing

  • An active RN license to work in Wisconsin

  • Current BLS for Health Care Providers

  • Prior RN experience is strongly preferred
