About the role: The Debert Airport Manager reports to the Director of Public Works and is responsible for overseeing the safe efficient and customer-focused operation of the airport. Duties will include coordination of day-to-day operations tenant and lease management liaison with regulatory agencies for continued compliance coordination of maintenance activities budget management and support for growth and development of the airport. This is a 2-year term position with potential to become a full-time permanent position.

Salary Range: Range 9 $85565-$101709

Education & experience required:
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in aviation airport management business administration or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience);
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in airport operations or related field;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working with Transport Canadas Canada Aviation Regulations;
  • Strong communication negotiation and customer service skills;
  • Experience in budgeting lease management and contractor oversight;
  • Commercial pilot skills an asset;
  • Conditions of employment include a satisfactory criminal record check and valid NS drivers license
