Join CAE in building the first of its kind exciting air traffic services a first-of-its-kind partnership in Canada CAE will deliver initial training for Flight Service Specialists and Air Traffic Controllers using NAV CANADAs training curriculum and courseware. The first classes will begin in the fall of 2024 at a new purpose-built Air Traffic Services Training Center on CAEs campus in Montreal. We are building up a customer-centric and innovative team to deliver accelerated training to over 150 students per year while ensure quality and transparency to our anchor customer NAV CANADA.

This agreementleveragestheexpertiseof two Canadian industry leaders toinnovate and address future air traffic management requirements. Asthe worlds largest aviation training provider CAEis uniquely positioned to work hand in hand with NAV CANADA thesecond-largest Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) worldwideto develop a highly proficient workforce and ensure the safety and efficiency of the air traffic partnership will provideadditionaltrainingcapacityas NAV CANADA continues to fully deliver existing training programs from its training units across the country.



In this role theAir Traffics ServicesPseudo Pilotat CAE you will play a crucial role in our simulator sessions by acting as a pilot to provide realistic and effective training scenarios for future air traffic controllers. Your contributions will help ensure that our students gain hands-on experience in a controlled and immersive environment.

Simulation Support

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Operate aircraft simulations in accordance with the scenarios and instructions provided by the training team.
  • Interact with students to simulate real-world pilot behaviors and communication.
  • Provide realistic pilot inputs and responses to facilitate effective air traffic control training.

Communication And Documentation

  • Use precise aviation language to communicate effectively with students and instructors.
  • Document and report on simulation sessions noting any issues or areas for improvement.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with instructors to tailor simulation scenarios that meet specific training objectives.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in both English and French with strong command of aviation terminology in both languages.
  • Proficiency in aviation language and procedures.
  • Experience or training in aviation is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to realism in simulation scenarios.
  • Previous experience in a simulation or training environment is a plus but not required.
  • A passion for aviation and contributing to the development of future air traffic professionals.
