Biomedical Equipment Technician II (Contract)

Location: Los Angeles CA

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician II to join our team in Los Angeles CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation maintenance calibration and repair of biomedical equipment and systems in a healthcare setting. This individual will work closely with medical staff to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and meets regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Install maintain calibrate and repair biomedical equipment and systems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions
  • Order parts and supplies as needed
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities
  • Train medical staff on proper equipment usage
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician
  • Strong knowledge of medical equipment and systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Certification from the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) preferred
  • Must pass federal background and drug screen.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
