Job Title - Financial Consultant
About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-driven Financial Consultant to support financial planning budgeting forecasting and performance analysis within the dairy/FMCG sector. This role will work closely with senior management to provide financial insights improve cost efficiency and strengthen financial decision-making. You will play a critical role in evaluating financial risks optimizing cash flow and enhancing overall financial controls to support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
Develop financial forecasts budgets and long-term financial plans aligned with business objectives.
Analyse financial performance variances and trends to provide actionable insights to management.
Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports and dashboards for leadership review.
Cost Control & Profitability Optimization
Evaluate cost structures margins and operating expenses to identify improvement opportunities.
Conduct product cost analyses pricing evaluations and profitability assessments.
Recommend strategies to enhance cost efficiency and overall financial performance.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
Monitor cash flow liquidity and working capital needs to ensure financial stability.
Assess inventory levels receivables and payables to improve cash conversion cycles.
Provide recommendations for financial risk mitigation and capital planning.
Financial Modelling & Risk Assessment
Develop financial models for business scenarios investment decisions and feasibility studies.
Perform sensitivity analyses to evaluate financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Support management in evaluating CAPEX expansions and strategic initiatives.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Ensure timely preparation of accurate financial statements in line with accounting standards.
Maintain compliance with local financial regulations tax requirements and internal policies.
Collaborate with auditors and support the audit process with required documentation.
Business Partnership & Advisory
Provide financial advisory to senior leaders to support operational and strategic decisions.
Partner with cross-functional teams to analyse performance drivers and cost-saving opportunities.
Present financial insights recommendations and dashboards to management in a clear structured manner.
Process Improvement & Controls
Evaluate existing financial processes and recommend automation or optimisation initiatives.
Strengthen internal financial controls and ensure implementation of best practices.
Track financial KPIs and support continuous improvement in reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business or a related field (Masters or CPA/CMA preferred).
58 years of experience in financial analysis consulting or business finance (FMCG or manufacturing preferred).
Strong knowledge of financial modelling forecasting budgeting and variance analysis.
Experience working with ERP and financial reporting tools.
Excellent analytical presentation and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of cost accounting cash flow management and financial controls.
Ability to work independently and handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail accuracy and data integrity.
