QUALIFICATIONS YOULL NEED
Basic Requirements (All Positions)
- Age: Minimum 18 years old
- Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in any field required
- Experience: Working with children ages 3-5 preferably in licensed childcare setting
- Certifications: Adult Child and Infant CPR within 6 months; basic first aid knowledge
- Professional Competencies: Excellent communication skills ability to maintain confidentiality flexibility for varying schedules
- Additional: Experience with low-income multicultural families preferred
WHAT YOULL DO
As a Preschool Teacher Aide youll partner with the Classroom Teacher to:
- Develop and implement activities that promote childrens social emotional cognitive and physical development
- Support programming for children ages 3-5 in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards
- Ensure compliance with Wisconsin Child Care Licensing City of Madison Accreditation and Wisconsin YoungStar standards
- Build positive relationships with children families staff and community members
- Maintain a safe nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Support multicultural and diverse learning experiences
- Assist with daily classroom routines and specialized programming
- Work collaboratively under the direction of the Classroom Teacher
