Under supervision of Director Manager or RN assists RN in delivery of total patient care patient teaching and provides practical nursing services in the home. Contributes to the assessment and care plans of each patient. Gives arranges for and teaches nursing care. Carries out nursing skills delegated by RN. Plans with RN for coordinated nursing service for individuals and families under her/his care. Assists RN in appraising individual and family health needs and hazards--existing or potential. Assists in providing health counseling including emotional support to individuals families and groups. Consults with RN and refers families to appropriate personnel within the agency or community services. Treatments and when required diagnostic and preventative procedures are carried out under medical directions.
Licenses and Certifications Required
- Current or temporary LPN license in ND or compact LPN licensure.
- Current drivers license required and care available to travel to patients home.
- CPR certification within orientation period with renewal every 2 years.
Educational Requirements
- LPN program as evidenced by licensure.

- Specialized training requirements:
- Skill/competency verification.
- Iv/Venipuncture skills/home health experience preferred.
- Aptitudes and skills required:
