Work Schedule: 8a-4:30p Mon-Fri

Provides strategic operational and financial leadership for all imaging services across the health system including hospital-based outpatient and ambulatory imaging locations. The role ensures consistent clinical quality regulatory compliance service excellence and operational efficiency. Develops and oversees system-wide imaging strategies workforce planning technology modernization capital planning and partnerships with radiologists referring providers and executive leaders.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and execute a multi-year system imaging strategy that aligns with organizational goals for growth access quality and patient experience.

  • Lead service line integration across hospitals clinics and joint venture sites to standardize processes and improve performance.

  • Oversee imaging market analyses volume forecasting and business development opportunities.

  • Direct capital planning for imaging equipment ensuring standardization lifecycle management and cost-effective technology investments.

Operational Management

  • Provide centralized operational oversight to all imaging modalities (MRI CT Ultrasound Mammography Nuclear Medicine PET Interventional Radiology X-ray).

  • Standardize workflows policies and protocols across the system to reduce variation and improve efficiency.

  • Work with system affiliates to implement staffing models productivity benchmarks and scheduling practices that optimize patient throughput and access.

  • Partner with IT on PACS and imaging informatics governance.

Quality Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations Joint Commission ACR MQSA and other relevant accreditation standards.

  • Create a unified imaging quality program with measurable goals for image quality safety radiation dose reduction and clinical outcomes.

  • Oversee peer review modality quality metrics and clinical protocols in collaboration with radiologist leadership.

People Leadership

  • Lead and mentor imaging managers and supervisors at all sites.

  • Build a culture of accountability service excellence professional development and shared performance goals.

Partnerships & Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary operational partner to radiologist groups hospital leaders and service line executives.

  • Build strong relationships with referring providers to enhance service reputation and patient access.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage the system imaging operating and capital budgets.

  • Drive financial performance including revenue integrity charge capture accuracy supply chain optimization and expense management.

  • Assess and implement strategies to improve margin performance in a dynamic reimbursement environment.

Must be able to travel across the system to hospitals and imaging centers.

Must be available for operational or emergency needs.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Masters degree in healthcare administration business imaging sciences or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • 10 years of progressive imaging leadership experience preferably within a multi-hospital system.

  • Proven experience managing imaging operations budgets capital planning and regulatory readiness.

  • Experience leading multi-site teams and standardizing processes across complex organizations.

License/Certification:

  • N/A

Skills/Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of imaging modalities accreditation standards workflow optimization and imaging informatics.

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence all levels within the organization.
