Racker

We are seeking a detail-oriented Racker to support our metal finishing and surface treatment operations. The Racker will be responsible for handling preparing and positioning complex and close-tolerance parts for anodizing chromating passivation and other finishing processes. This role requires strong attention to detail manual dexterity and the ability to follow precise instructions to ensure high-quality finishing results.

Key Responsibilities

• Rack hang and secure a variety of metal parts-including small delicate and close-tolerance components-according to process specifications.

• Follow instructions for precision masking to ensure accurate coating coverage and protection of critical areas.

• Prepare parts for processes such as hardcoat anodizing chromic anodizing chemical conversion coating (including RoHS-compliant coatings) passivation and manganese phosphate.

• Inspect parts before racking for cleanliness defects or damage and report issues to the supervisor.

• Ensure proper spacing alignment and electrical contact for parts undergoing anodizing or plating processes.

• Unrack finished parts safely and inspect for quality and coating consistency.

• Assist in pre- and post-processing steps such as rinsing drying counting and packaging.

• Maintain accurate part counts and documentation as required.

• Follow all safety protocols including handling chemicals and PPE requirements.

• Keep work areas clean organized and compliant with production standards.

• Collaborate with production and technical staff to meet daily output and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in metal finishing anodizing masking chemical processing or a production environment preferred (but not requiredtraining provided).

• Ability to handle small parts and perform precision work.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced process-driven environment.

• Ability to lift up to 40 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

• Basic math and counting skills.

• Reliability consistency and a strong work ethic.
