Pay Rate: $45 60 per hour (depending on degree) $43.22 per hour (Travel stipends if applicable)
Schedule:

8:00 AM 4:30 PM Monday Friday
Excludes federal holidays and weekends
Includes two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch break

1099 Contract Length: 1 year with the option to extend

Job Description:

The Travel Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides comprehensive behavioral health services across multiple IHS locations including assessment crisis intervention counseling treatment planning and case management. This role supports adolescents adults and geriatric patients while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality behavioral health care and continuity of services.
Requirements:

BSW and MSW from a CSWE-accredited program.
Active social worker licensure as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Current BLS required.
ACLS and/or PALS are preferred.
Valid drivers license (may need to operate a government vehicle).
Proof of Medical Professional Liability Insurance: $/ $3000000.
Must meet all Santa Fe IHC credentialing immunization and compliance requirements.
Ability to complete all security procedures including fingerprinting.

Responsibilities:

Provide counseling and crisis intervention for individuals and families with psychological or social problems.
Consult with Clinical Director Chief of Staff and Staff Psychiatrist for complex cases.
Conduct assessments diagnosis care coordination and crisis stabilization (including psychiatric hospital admission when needed).
Provide behavioral health services to adolescents adults and geriatric patients.
Deliver follow-up and aftercare for patients referred to/from other facilities.
Participate in ongoing departmental performance improvement and quality initiatives.
Interview patients to assess problems develop improvement plans and coordinate community resources.
Participate in treatment program development and advise other professional staff regarding client behavior changes.
Document evaluations treatment plans case management notes referrals and correspondence in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) per policy.
Independently diagnose using DSM and/or ICD criteria.
Collaborate with the Mental Health team in developing treatment recommendations.
Provide consultation to IHS staff and community agencies regarding patient needs.
Manage referrals for Purchased/Referred Care (PRC) services for psychiatric or specialized behavioral health care.
Perform routine duties including behavioral health counseling substance abuse counseling and related services.
Attend required department meetings and follow HIPAA AAAHC CMS and IHS guidelines.
Participate in peer reviews case presentations and Quality Assurance measures.
