Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Assembly & Build
Assemble machinery and mechanical components according to:
o Engineering drawings
o Blueprints
o Part lists
o Hydraulic pneumatic and electrical schematics
Use precision tools (torque wrenches dial indicators depth gauges digital levels) to achieve tight tolerances.
Production & Shop Floor Responsibilities
Safely operate overhead cranes to move heavy components during assembly.
Measure accurately in both imperial (inch) and metric units.
Collaborate closely with supervisors and teammates to meet production deadlines.
Maintain an organized clean workspace in line with lean manufacturing principles.
Follow all safety protocols and consistently use required PPE.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Ensure all assembled machines meet high-quality and performance standards.
Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on processes and tooling.
Maintain proper documentation and follow structured workflows.
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly experience OR
5 years of experience in machine tool parts machinery maintenance mechanical service or related manufacturing roles.
Ability to read and interpret:
o Blueprints
o Schematics
o Part lists
Skilled with precision measuring tools and hand tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements.
Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
Preferred
Experience with electrical wiring assembly.
Forklift license.
Computer literacy for documentation and basic troubleshooting.
Work Environment & Schedule
1st shift standard daytime hours.
On-site hands-on manufacturing environment (no remote).
High-quality safety-focused production facility.
Team-oriented work environment with strong collaboration.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $45000 $55000 depending on experience
