Overview

The IT Project Manager / Data Product Manager is responsible for planning executing and delivering data-centric projects and products that support enterprise goals. This hybrid role ensures projects are managed on time and within budget while driving the discovery development and lifecycle management of data products. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise user-centric discovery practices and cross-functional leadership to transform business needs into actionable data product solutions.

The Project Manager will provide work direction coordinate resources oversee quality control and support performance management. The Data Product Manager responsibilities focus heavily on product discovery user research and transforming insights into product strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Vision

Define data product strategy aligned with NEE and EDP objectives.
Build and maintain a product roadmap that reflects evolving user and business needs.
Identify enterprise data opportunities through research and business analysis.

2. Product Discovery

Lead design sessions with business stakeholders to capture and refine product requirements.
Conduct user interviews surveys and feedback sessions to validate product concepts.
Develop mockups and run usability tests to ensure user-centered design.
Perform competitive analysis to identify differentiation opportunities.
Apply data-driven methods to uncover trends that guide product discovery.

3. Product Development & Technical Oversight

Collaborate with engineering solution architects and stakeholders to convert discovery insights into features.
Prioritize product features based on business value and technical feasibility.
Ensure alignment between engineering execution and product goals.

4. Stakeholder Management

Serve as a liaison across business units to gather requirements and communicate progress.
Advocate for product adoption and alignment with strategic objectives.
Provide training and support to drive user engagement and adoption.

5. Data Analysis & Insights

Use data analysis tools to generate insights for product decisions.
Ensure data quality consistency and reliability within all data products.

6. Performance Metrics & Reporting

Define and track KPIs to evaluate product performance and ROI.
Manage product budgets and ensure optimal use of resources.
Prepare reports dashboards and presentations for leadership.
Develop product collateral including case studies and one-pagers.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Data Science or related field.
Masters degree preferred.
Experience in product management with a strong focus on data products and discovery practices.
Strong technical background with understanding of data technologies ETL CI/CD and data architecture.
Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Skills

Proficiency in data analysis warehousing and data architecture principles.
Experience with software development concepts (ETL CI/CD workflows error handling alerts).
Strong grounding in product lifecycle management.
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
Expertise in product discovery user research mockups and prototype testing.
