About the role
Our Tax Compliance Academy is a two-year structured development programme designed to launch your career in corporate tax. Youll join a cohort of peers in a fast-paced environment gaining a strong foundation in corporate tax while developing transferable skills to become a trusted Corporate Tax Compliance professional.
At the end of the programme youll continue your career journey at PwC equipped with the expertise and confidence to thrive in one of the worlds leading professional services firms.

This is an office-based role (5 days per week) especially during the initial months when training and collaboration are most intensive. While remote working isnt supported at the start we value flexibility and inclusion and are open to discussions about individual circumstances.
Applications close at midnight on 12th December though we review submissions on a rolling basis and may close earlier if sufficient applications are received.
Key Responsibilities
Alongside the wider team and your peers you will prepare corporate tax calculations and tax returns for a variety of clients. All companies must pay corporation tax on their profits - youll help our clients calculate what they should pay and prepare the necessary documentation.
Focused training sessions including on the job shadowing learning and coaching. You will attend a series of structured technical training sessions that will build your Tax technical knowledge and skills required to prepare Tax computations.

You will have the chance to pursue additional tax and/or accountancy qualifications each serving as a stepping stone to greater heights in your career. Places on the Academy are aimed at individuals who have developed the skills detailed below through work experience. Prospective applicants are likely to be career changers or individuals who have not followed a traditional career path who can bring these valuable skills and experience to PwC. This experience does not need to be from a professional services or tax setting but you should clearly indicate within your personal statement at the top of your CV how you have developed the skills we require.
Skills and experience were looking for
No previous Tax experience or qualifications are required to apply for the Tax Compliance Academy. Were looking for individuals who have developed relevant skills through previous work experience - which may or may not be in a professional services setting.
Youre quick to adapt and can easily adjust to new environments
You can take ownership of your own personal development
Youre able to plan and prioritise multiple projects and deliver to deadlines
Youre comfortable working both independently and as part of a team - collaborating and creating positive team spirit
You can build strong relationships quickly and adapt your communication style for different situations and audiences
You have strong literacy and numeracy skills
You have experience using platforms such as Excel Word or equivalent software / systems
Recruitment process
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and we will aim to respond to you within 2 weeks of applying. The recruitment process is as follows:
Submit your CV
If your initial application is successful you will be invited complete an video assessment and then online assessments
If you pass the online assessments you will be invited to a final face-to-face interview with members of the Tax Compliance team.
If you are successful at this final interview stage you will be offered a place on the Tax Compliance Academy and you will join PwC in March 2025.
