Job Summary
Machine Operator / Maintenance Technician
Hours: Monday Friday from 7:00am-4:30pm with ability to come in early OR stay late up to a few hours a week
Hourly Wage: $22-25 unlimited production bonus potential
Overview: We are looking for a machine operator and an individual with maintenance and mechanical experience willing to run our nailing machines. You would be the good to for an light maintenance on the machine.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sort pallet component material and feed acceptable material into the machine
- Set up the machine in between each run according to the kiosk and to the customer needs
- Adjust machine throughout run to any issues that are present
- Build pallets according to customers requirements
- Check each pallet for quality issues as the pallets are being built
- Record production times and pallet counts throughout the day and turn sheet into the production manager after each shift
- Perform light maintenance fixes as needed and communicate with maintenance any major issues
- Conduct preventative maintenance as required
- Communication with production manager of any issues regarding machine and quality
- Maintain and clean up work area during and at the end of each shift
- Follow all safety procedures including personal protective equipment lockout tagout housekeeping and more
- Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Prior maintenance or mechanical experience required and ability to perform light maintenance activities
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to read write perform basic math and read tape measurements
- Must be ability lift push and pull objects that are 75 pounds or heavier
- Must be able to sit walk bend and twist for long periods of time throughout the day
