Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Full-Time Custodian to become apart of their team in West Bridgewater MA
Pay: $16/ hr
Overview:
- Able to work 7am to 3:30 pm Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Saturday the days off will be Thursday and Friday.
- Can train Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm for about 2 weeks
- Understands English written and verbal multilingual is great!
- Is able to lift/carry 30-40 pounds up and down a flight of stairs putting supplies away and pulling them out as needed
- Can drive will be driving the motorized vehicles that clean our floors
- Knows how to use a computer will need to submit weekly reports/checklists
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial and industrial cleaning janitorial tasks and general facilities maintenance. This role is essential in providing a clean safe and welcoming environment for staff clients and visitors. The Custodian will perform a variety of cleaning duties including floor care and buffing while adhering to safety standards and company policies.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping mopping dusting and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Conduct detailed floor care including buffing stripping and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance
- Maintain restrooms by sanitizing fixtures replenishing supplies and ensuring hygiene standards are met
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks as needed for large-scale or specialized cleaning projects
- Assist with facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to management
- Support residential painting projects or other maintenance duties as assigned
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning operations
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred especially in commercial or industrial settings
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing stripping and waxing is highly desirable
- Experience with facilities maintenance or general building upkeep is a plus
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning products and equipment
- Previous porter or industrial cleaning experience beneficial but not required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
